Op Shop Glamour Ball

Playful nostalgia and invented history characterised the theme of this event. Hosted by the Kempsey District Silver Band, the Op Shop Glamour Ball required branding, posters and social media assets that were not intimidating or high brow.

The branding took cues from the event itself, where concert goers were encouraged to don 'glamourous' costumes sourced from local charity shops. In a similar fashion, the branding borrowed original historical images, manipulating and collaging them to create a fresh and subversive take on the second hand. I also experimented with hand generated patterns, to recreate the visual overload and kitsch feel of an op shop.
